I vote Ay in principle.
However, now it is too late. We need to get the elections going. We need to change Lahoud, Berri and the remnants of the Syrian regime in Lebanon.

I agree with Gisele.
We need to get these elections going and we have time to reform afterwards.
I fear a delay in the elections may lead to catastrophy and more segregation of religious groups together.

I guess the discussion now is moot. The law of 2000 will be used.
My question is: what would make the new parliament elected by this law change it, if they want to be re-elected?

The only way to force it to change the law after the election should be the pressure from the people and its representants who are not in the parliament.

Zys, how do you propose to do that? since most of those who mobilized the street on March 14 will be in parliament and I doubt that we have a lot of free thinkers in Lebanon. Most of the Lebanese people are like a flock of sheep, they follow a "Kerraz".
