What happened in Beirut was disappointing. As someone who was looking forward to vote there, I feel that my vote is no longer necessary. I have a question to anyone who knows the answer:
Can anyone tell me what in goodness name id Jebran Tueini doing running for elections? He has no program, he represents no one, just because he wrote a few meaningless, visionless articles in his daddy's paper, he thinks he is now qualified. It is disgusting!

I agree with you..Our system of governance suffers from relativism: if you are related to someone you have a better chance of reaching your goal.

I wonder if the only solution to the dilemma in Lebanon is being under a mandate for a couple hundred years

Ah Gisele, how could you not like Gebran? if for nothing else, you must love him for his hair; I think for only that he should be elected (he has nothing else to show).

It is true that Hariri won, this a certainty. So Mabrouk.
However the participation was less than the 2000, even after what you call "earthquake" !!!! So I guess the electoral machine should be analysing the failure to mobilize the voters at a large scale...
Honestly, when seeing the future tv I was expecting a participation of 40%-45%.
It turned out ot be less than 2000???!!!

In my opinion this should be alarming for the future...FM was unable to reach previous record even after an unfortunate event such as Rafic Hariri assassination.
So in other terms, did FM reached its peak !!??!!??

No doubt, the north elections will be decisive in this manner, either it fixes FM strength or it reveals its weaknesses after the absence of Rafic Hariri.

Finally, after the depressing scene in Beirut, which really made me question the value of my vote, I feel vindicated thanks to to General Aoun.
I call upon all Lebanese to:
VOTE FOR AOUN

I will vote for his list in Metn.
