We should all take the streets, no matter what country we are in, to say to the world thet we do NOT approve these barbaric acts that occured in Beirut. Burning the Danish embassy and breaking churches windows in not acceptable. So if you have the same opinion as mine, please act. Let the world know.
Thank you

What happened is really disgusting. I don't understand why should the Danish Embassy be burnt. The Danish government is not responsible for what happened.
As to the attack on the Maronite Church and destroyed property, this is the standard procedure of savages.

Words of disgust are not enough. I really want to see some heads hung over this. This was a blatant act of terrorism and all the organizers and as many participants as possible should be brought to justice. Hassan Sabeh and the head of internal security and the head of the Lebanese army, all of them should be questioned for this.
If this terrorist act is swept under the rug and if there is no accountability, justice and punishment, the next one will spark a civil war in Lebanon.
I admired most yesterday some of the Sunni Sheikhs who were trying single-handedly to stop the thugs from attacking the church while the internal security forces ran away and hid at the Manakish bakery.
Hats off to those few Sheikhs for their acts gave me a glimpse of hope in the possibility of a united Lebanon and shame on the Lebanese army and the Lebanese Internal Security forces and their leadership for failing to act.
The MOST SHAME is on the SYRIAN DUMMY in Baabda who remained silent when the Christian community in Ashrafieh went under a purely anti-Chritstian attack orchestrated by his allies in Damascus.
The next protest should march onto Baabda and burn the palace with Lahoud in it. |

I never was a big fan of Michel Aoun. And god knows how i never supported hezbollah in their ideas... All this apart, i don't know why the deal between Michel Aoun and Hassan Nasrallah, a deal which would make me feel soooooo mad knowing my political views, did not actually. I did not feel that this deal is bad. On the opposite, i felt this deal COULD make things go actually better in Lebanon... Unity seems strangely closer... Hezbollah, with all their mistakes and extremism, made me feel, for once, through their deal with Aoun, that unity is somehow possible with some people, and christians, even if all christians do not support aoun (like me) can and should try to see beyond political prejudice, a find a new solution four our national tensions... maybe aoun isnt that wrong, and on a long term scale, aoun will rebecome ally with joumblat, and maybe geagea, and hezbollah will be in the ''close friends ring'' once and for all. Hariris party is, for sure, already an ally of geagea and joumblatt. We still need to get aoun-hezbollah closer to us. I think it is our only solution...for now Any objections? |

you wanna get Aoun and Hizballah closer to March 14, you're facing mission impossible. It will be much easier to convince Berri, who I think is waiting for the right time to convert
P.S. Are you serious about the Aoun-Hizballah agreement? |

After this wonderful demonstration on february 14th (800 000 people took the streets of beirut!) we really see a big gap between aoun-hezbollah amd AAAALLLLLL the others (Saniora, Geagea, Saad, Joumblatt, Berri...) and it is evident the alliance of march 14th is the majority in Lebanon (population speeking) but still there, i truly believe in a mutual understanding between these forces and hezbollah-aoun. We must find the points on which we agree and make them our ocmmon points. Most of all, we must be clear that we pledge allegence to Lebanon, not to Syria nore Iran. But mutual understanding is achievable... or less we, the majority, will rule them by force. But they are armed... so they wont let us. This is the issue. We need to disarm Hezbola without causing a civil war... UNITY- AMEN |
