Beirut -- May 13, 2005
A large rally took place in Beirut near the Omari Mosque in support of Al-Quaeda terrorist movement. Demonstrators waved Al-Quaeda flags and chanted slogans supporting Bin Laden and Zarqawi and demanding the liberation of Islamic terrorists from Northern Lebanon (Menieh and Dennieh) in Lebanese jails.
The Sunni Mufti of the Lebanese Republic, Sheikh Kabbani, joined the demonstrators in the sit-in. This is the first open Al-Quaeda rally in Beirut, in which a senior official of the Lebanese Republic (The Mufti) participates. |
